Notre Dame has claimed its first ACC tournament title, using a 24-2 second-half run to score a 90-82 win Saturday night over North Carolina.

The Fighting Irish (29-5) scored 51 points after halftime, going from down seven to up by double-digits in almost an instant. They did that with turnovers and outside shooting, forcing 13 takeaways and hitting 10-of-20 from three-point range while making 54.2 percent of their overall shots.

North Carolina (24-11) shot 53 percent and had 13 offensive rebounds, dominating in the paint, but failed to defend the three and got sloppy with passing that led to the defeat.
