Former Duke star Jon Scheyer knows that if he is going to join the Three Kings in Miami, then he is going to have to shed blood, sweat, and tears.

Turns out, he took that in the literal sense.

In last night's game for the Heat's summer team, Scheyer shed his share of blood as he took a strong elbow to the face.

Jon was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

All reports from the Heat and Scheyer camp are saying that Scheyer suffered a lacerated eye lid.

The injury is not expected to keep him out of a lot of action, if any.

Jon has been doing everything in his power to make this Heat team.
