Georgetown head coach John Thompson III scored an impressive recruit today when Indianapolis native D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera, or "DSR," decided to join the Hoyas family. He chose the legendary Big East program over Louisville, Memphis and North Carolina State.
Smith-Rivera spent the first three years of his high school career tearing through the Capital City's best defenses while suiting up for North Central High School.
He won city Player of the Year honors as a junior, but in an attempt to maximize his potential and to prepare for college-level basketball, Smith-Rivera is playing for famed Oak Hill Academy this year.
