While many teams across the country have their eyes on the upcoming NCAA tournament at this time of year, the DePaul Blue Demons will have their eyes on the coaching market.
That is because head coach Oliver Purnell resigned Saturday, via Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Purnell’s Blue Demons went a disappointing 12-20 on the season and finished in seventh place in the Big East with a 6-12 conference record. They lost their final eight games and 11 of the last 12 and were blown out by Creighton in the conference tournament to end the season.
