For college football coaches, there really is no offseason.
Rather than spending time planning for games, head coaches are on the road, in their war rooms plotting their recruiting schemes and competing with rival staffs for high school prospects.
Often times, success on the field carries over to the recruiting season, but as national signing day (Feb. 5) nears, several of college football's top coaches are losing some important battles.
