Speed is more prevalent in college football than it has ever been. A lot of teams are built around their speed. But who is the fastest player on each of the BCS teams? Some of the speed comes from experienced veterans, while the fastest players on some teams are incoming freshmen.

There are a few different ways to gauge speed, but for the sake of argument, we will base it off of confirmed 40-yard dash times. Most people realize that game speed might be slightly different than 40 times, but that is the one consistent number with factual evidence.

While arguments can certainly be made for players not on the list, it is easy to see that every player listed is extremely fast.
