Sherman: Tannehill No Longer Reciever?

As most of the Aggie faithful already know, Jerrod Johnson has won the head to head competition against sophomore Ryan Tannehill and has been named starter for Texas A&M's home opener against the New Mexico Lobos.

It is not much of a shock considering Head Coach Mike Sherman has repeatedly stated that Tannehill needed a "knockout punch" to unseat the incumbent starter.

So what does Sherman do now with the ultra-talented QB/WR? He did set school records at the receiver position during his freshman campaign. For now, Sherman plans to keep Tannehill donning a baseball cap and calling in plays this fall.

Tannehill is too talented to remain on the sidelines the entire season. So expect him to contribute in some way, ...
