Well, there we have it. After fears from many fans that Colt McCoy may back into the Heisman trophy, the Crimson Tide have their first Heisman winner.

Ingram had an incredible year. There is no doubt about it.

And he certainly had his Heisman moment, leading Alabama in dominating fashion over Florida.

He fits the profile of what a Heisman winner supposedly should be:

  • He plays for a national title contender.
  • He plays for a traditional football powerhouse.
  • He plays a skill position on Offense.
  • He plays in the toughest conference in the country.
  • And he had outstanding statistical achievements.
