Douglas beat out UNLV Rebels senior guard Ike Nwamu in the final. ESPN's Darren Rovell snapped a photo of Douglas holding his newly earned championship belt:   The Marauders star saved his best stuff for the semifinals. He caught an alley-oop ...

Ohio State Football: Can Marcus Baugh End OSU’s Tight End Production Woes?

It's been 21 years since an Ohio State tight end eclipsed the 500-yard receiving mark in a single season. It was 1995, and running back Eddie George was running through, over and around every defense he faced on his way to winning the Heisman Trophy. He opened up big things for a passing attack that featured All-American receiver Terry Glenn, who set a then-school record of 1,411 receiving yards in a single season. Streaking down the middle of the ...

How Michael Gbinije Left Duke to Save His Hoops Career

Posted by Greg Couch on March 31 2016 Add Comments
Michael Gbinije was so close to being a one-and-done player. No, not the kind people talk about now, where players go to college for just one year before jumping to the NBA. Gbinije was close to one-and-done as in one year and he disappears. He's gone. It's over. He's done. Gbinije was a highly recruited state champ out of high school in Virginia and chose to go to Duke for the obvious reasons: great basketball, great ...

We'll find out Sunday who ends up taking home the James A. Naismith Trophy, given to the nation's top college basketball player. Four finalists were named March 20, but in reality, it's very likely a two-man race: Buddy or Denzel, who ya got? Seniors Buddy Hield of Oklahoma and Denzel Valentine of Michigan State clearly separated themselves from the field throughout the 2015-16 season, but only one can be declared the best. Each has an incredibly impressive ...

Head-to-Toe Breakdown of Final Four Superstar Brice Johnson

Posted by Brian Pedersen on March 31 2016 Add Comments
North Carolina is the only No. 1 seed to make the Final Four, taking advantage of a deep and talented lineup that made it hard for opponents to focus on one player in hopes of shutting down the Tar Heels. Most didn't bother trying that tactic with Brice Johnson, since he proved throughout this season that's just not possible. Johnson, a 6'9" senior forward, has been far and away UNC's best player this season. After slow-but-steady ...

Projecting 2016 Win-Loss Records for Every Power 5 Football Team

College football's interminably long offseason is the ideal breeding ground for overthinking. With so much time on our hands, we can't help but reflect back on the season that was and look ahead to the one on the horizon. And with that comes plenty of conjecture, often in the form of projections that are based more on hope than actual evidence. We're less than three months removed from the end of the 2015 season, and yet ...
