Oregon Baseball Player Tumbles Home, Still Scores Run
The Oregon Ducks baseball team beat the California Golden Bears 5-1 on Thursday night, but that doesn't mean Oregon played perfect throughout.
During the bottom of the seventh inning, Ducks freshman A.J. Balta tried to steal third base. After a wild throw from the California catcher, Balta began running toward home plate, but he stumbled on his way there. You can see a video of the play below.
Fortunately, Balta still came in to score, and his ...

Tennessee is also currently listed as the No. 1 choice for 5-star quarterback Torrance Gibson and 5-star defensive tackle Tim Settle, who unveiled lengthy lists of their own ...
Florida State Football: How FSU Will Adjust Future Schedule After ACC’s Decision
The debate over an eight-game or nine-game conference schedule will continue for years. But in the ACC, most coaches and athletic directors wanted an eight-game league schedule—and got it.
An eight-game schedule should help the ACC in the long term. The mandate is to play one game each year against a team from a Power 5 conference (SEC, ACC, Big Ten, Big 12 and Pac-12) beginning with the 2015 season, but the benefit is also scheduling ...

LSU, for sure.
Alabama's offensive questions center around quarterback Jacob Coker. The Florida State transfer might be solid, but he always has those running backs to fall back ...
Oregon Football: Summer Grades for 2015 Recruiting Class
'Tis the season for recruiting. Oregon's 2015 class is light on verbal commitments as the summer season approaches, featuring four to date.
Of course, a program's recruiting success isn't measured by its early pledges; February and national signing day tell the true story. And the work that head coach Mark Helfrich and his staff put forth in the coming months will shape the narrative.
Oregon's growing national clout is evident in the multiregional strategy employed on the ...

Texas Football: Will Quarterback Jerrod Heard Play as a True Freshman?
Max Wittek is ineligible to transfer to Texas this summer, significantly increasing the odds that Jerrod Heard will play quarterback for the Longhorns as a true freshman in 2014.
According to a report from Stephen Tsai of the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, Wittek will not graduate until December. As a result, the ex-USC quarterback will be unable to play immediately for any FBS program this season.
That leaves head coach Charlie Strong with David Ash, Tyrone Swoopes and the incoming ...
Penn State Recruiting: Early Success, Scholarship Limits Hindering Flexibility
James Franklin and the Nittany Lions came out of the gate on fire on the 2015 recruiting trail. Penn State has the second-ranked class in the country with 16 prospects verbally committed, which makes it difficult to find any negatives about the current situation.
Yet there are such things as "good problems", and Penn State is facing one right now.
Franklin and his staff have created so much momentum that they could probably land 40 kids in this ...

Murray, a two-time state champion at Allen High School in suburban Dallas, holds an expansive collection of scholarship offers that started to amass during his sophomore year. Though he hasn't officially eliminated a large portion of college options, a pair of programs are viewed ...
Non-QBs Who Will Score the Most Touchdowns in 2014 College Football Season
Touchdowns aren't always the best barometer of success, but they are a decent correlative point. One mustn't score a lot, necessarily, to be considered among the best offensive players in the nation, but it certainly does not hurt.
With regard to football statistics, passing touchdowns are not considered "scoring." Only the player who takes the ball into the end zone is credited with the points—or, in the case of a field goal, the player who kicked ...
