Ohio State and head coach Urban Meyer landed a gigantic commitment today in 5-star athlete Curtis Samuel out of Brooklyn, N.Y. Samuel can play running back, safety and return punts, according to Steve Wiltfong of 247 Sports. He chose Ohio State despite receiving offers from several big-time programs including Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame and Nebraska, among others. Head coach Dave Rose released BYU's nonconference schedule for the 2013-2014 season on Thursday. The schedule consists of six home games, three road games and four neutral-site games. BYU will open the season on November 8 against in-state foe Weber State. On November 11, the Cougars will travel to Palo Alto to take on Stanford as part of the ESPN Tip-Off Marathon.
