Past Washington Huskies Looking Forward: Damon Huard
As we try to make it through the Dawg days of summer, it seemed like a good time to catch up with some Huskies of the past, and get their thoughts from the past, as well as looking forward.
This week, we were able to catch up with Husky Quarterback Damon Huard (1991-1995) after the Fourth of July holiday.
What is your best memory of being a Husky?
Wow. It’s really hard to pick just ...

With summer football camps starting up today for many colleges across the country, it's time to look at the best of the best at each position.
Last week I was asked to compile a list of the best offensive and defensive players in college football and make an All-American team, and here it is, the Bleacher Report 2010 Preseason College Football All-American team.
Breaking down by conference, the team looks like this:
ACC: 3
Big 12: 3

Oregon Football: What are Your Concerns for the 2010 Season?
With 22 seniors and numerous key returning starters, one would think Oregon would be short on concerns heading into fall camp. A balanced mix of experience and young talent has led to an optimistic fan base. Will Oregon be able to defend a conference title and repeat the success achieved a year ago? What are your concerns heading into the 2010 season?
Quarterback Play
Most Oregon fans have already closed the book on the Jeremiah Masoli chapter ...
Iowa Head Coach Kirk Ferentz’s Son Back on Track After Mishaps
James Ferentz found himself in a little bit of trouble prior to the 2009 season.
For the second time in less than six months, the son of Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz found himself being disciplined for an alcohol-related infraction.
In October of 2008, the younger Ferentz was cited for possession of alcohol by a minor. The following April, he was cited again with public intoxication.
Ferentz was rated by Scout as 2008's sixth best high school center in the nation. ...
Seven Bold Predictions for 2010: Alabama Won’t Win Another Title
Football season is almost upon us, and the time has come to peer into my Magic 8 Ball to get predictions on how the season is going to go. Here are my predictions for 2010:
1. Alabama will not win the National Championship.
Yes, I know that Alabama is the preseason favorite, and I'd be shocked to see them anywhere but No. 1 in the preseason AP and Coach's Polls.
That, Crimson Tide fans, is the kiss of ...
Power Ranking Terrelle Pryor’s Place in All BCS Conferences
Throughout his collegiate career, Ohio State's Terrelle Pryor has been one of the biggest names in the game, whether he deserves it or not.
And after an MVP performance in the Rose Bowl, Pryor's stock in the college game skyrocketed, as some pundits are considering him a Heisman contender.
And he is one of the top QBs in the Big Ten along with Iowa's Ricky Stanzi.
But flashback to just before the 2009 BCS National Championship Game between ...
How Tracy Dildy Could Revive Chicago State, D-I’s Only Coachless Team
Unless you're known as a devout Kanye West fan, you've never heard of the Chicago State University Cougars or their 347th-ranked (in RPI) Division I basketball team.
Benjy Taylor wishes he had never heard of them, either. In three seasons as head coach, Taylor posted a 39-53 record—a huge improvement over the combined 119-421 record of the seven coaches before him—but led the team to their first winning season since 1986 before his firing was announced ...
College Football 2010: Potential Surprise Winners of All the BCS Conference
College football is stocked with surprises every year. The Southern Cal Trojans took a Thursday night road trip to Corvallis, Oregon a couple of years ago for a gimme conference game. They left in an entirely different mood after being upset by a "weak" Beavers team.
That 2008 game is just an example. Upsets happen every week. What about the teams that far exceed expectations for an entire season?
Here's a look at a few teams who ...
