UConn Has Played Their Way onto the Bubble
Well, that was huge. The UConn Huskies of 2009/2010 have finally arrived. This is the UConn team that was ranked No. 10 in Sports Illustrated's preseason poll.
After last night's 73-62 victory over No. 8 West Virginia, the Huskies now have three wins over top 10 teams. They sit at 17-11 (7-8 Big East) with three winable games left to play in the regular season.
In terms of confidence building, their three game winning streak has come ...
Michigan Tuesday: Storm Watching
There are some rumors flying around that Michigan is planning a press conference today to announce the findings in the NCAA's investigation on "practice-gate". This has not been confirmed by anyone, so we will see if this is true or not. As soon as I hear, you will get an update!
How about them Winter Wolverines? A Pair of Wolverines win a Silver Medal in ice dancing.

Olympic Medal Counts: USA Maintains Narrow Lead Over Germany
A very strong weekend keeps the United States ahead in the medal count, but the margin is closing. The United States Olympic Team continues to make a statement by leading the overall medal count, and the run should continue during the Games final week.
The U.S. currently holds a four medal lead heading into Tuesday's action, but Germany is nipping at the heels of the U.S. Heading into the week, the ...
Conference Expansion and the 32 Team League That Could Change College Football
With all this talk of conference expansion and mega conferences it got some of us a Bleacher Report thinking. Imagine if you will a college football landscape similar to that of the NFL. Instead of many conferences and bowls there would be one elite super conference featuring the 32 best and most powerful teams in all the land. Who would be included and what would that look like? Here is one take on that hypothetical ...
The Top 25 Heisman Trophy Candidates for 2010
There isn't a more celebrated and anticipated award in sports than the Heisman trophy.
Each December, a group of college football's elite gather in New York City in order to discover who will be added to the long-list of Heisman legends.
Alabama's sophomore sensation, Mark Ingram, did just that just a few months ago. Not only did Ingram bring Mr. Heisman's bronze figurine back to school under his arm, but also with a title ring on ...
The 20 Must-Have Recruits for 2011’s Top College Football Programs
In the most recent recruiting cycle, we learned that no matter how many players a school signs, there's always one must-have recruit.
This is the kid whose high school highlight reel plays over and over in the fanbase's collective mind, whose televised commitment closes schools an hour early, whose every visit is carefully tracked and every reaction meticulously weighed.
We saw some schools land these kids in the last recruiting cycle and feel fulfilled, while others, with ...
Nebraska Huskers Football Report Card: Does Bo Pelini Earn a Passing Grade?
At the end of the Huskers' 2007 campaign, which ended with an embarrassing 65-51 loss to Big XII North rival Colorado, it was clear to even the most casual college football fan that the course plotted by former AD Steve Pederson had become a fast track to nowhere.
University Chancellor Harvey Perlman had already canned Pederson, much to the delight of Husker Nation, and had replaced him with then Interim Athletic Director, Dr. Tom Osborne, a ...
Texas Longhorns Football Recruiting: Junior Day Strategies
Junior Days are right around the corner, so I thought we’d break down needs, talk recruits, and find a ray of gridiron sunshine in the long and cursed offseason.
CTJ gives us his thoughts too . Had I realized, I might have saved myself the typing.
Unlike last year where DFW held an absurd amount of the state’s talent, the elites in the state are pretty well dispersed in DFW, Houston, CenTex. Ordinarily good news for us, but ...

Texas Longhorns Football Recruiting: The Lucky 13
David Ash
Good get. He won’t have to play for another three years barring injury, of course, but you have to have numbers at the position in various stages of development. Or you need to rely on a true freshman to…nevermind.
Joe Bergeron
Really like Bergeron. He can play a variety of positions in the backfield, and he can block and catch.
Look, I’m still jaded after the whole Matt Trissell, Chad Stevens, and Brock Edwards/line up anyone at ...
