Florida Gators Are Big Favorites to Win the 2009 BCS Championship

Will Florida win back-to-back national championships?  Most bookmakers think so.   1. Florida Last year’s SEC champions bring back nearly every player, including Heisman candidate Tim Tebow. Urban Myers’s Gators might have more depth then any other team this year in NCAA football.  The Gators are well-coached and have skilled players at every position.   There's no mystery why they are +150 at Lines2bet.   2. Texas A lot of smart guys have USC and the Sooners listed No. 2 after Florida, but ...

Virginia Tech Hokies Look for Special Season in 2009

One thing is certain: This Hokie team is extremely talented. Top to bottom, this is one of the better groups head coach Frank Beamer has fielded in his 22 seasons in Blacksburg, so it’s no surprise many are whispering--even shouting--about a possible national championship run.I was at a bar in Blacksburg the night a friend walked up and said: “Darren Evans tore his ACL today, he’s out for the season.”I wasn’t immediately sure if he was ...

Last year was everything any Georgia Tech Fan could have hoped for. Paul Johnson came in and in his first season contended for an ACC Title, won 9 games and beat the hated Georgia Bulldogs. The bowl game blowout loss to LSU did put a slight damper on things, but I think you'll see Johnson use that game as motivation to keep the team hungry this year. What are the 5 keys to Georgia Tech having ...

While I am not a betting man, I have found that sports bettors often have the best instincts about football teams.  After all, they are putting their money behind their opinions. The rest of us just root on are teams and talk sports. Those guys make a living at forecasting. Now, the bookies are looking for the prefect number to balance the money from both sides, not always trying to predict the final score.  For those who do not ...

Sometimes, when living in the present, people can get caught up in the heat of the moment, and I understand that. Sometimes just because everything is fresh in the mind, people let their emotions get the best of them, I'm guilty of it as well. For instance, some people watching the NBA today will tell you that Kobe Bryant and LeBron James are better than Michael Jordan or would beat Michael if he played today. I ...
