Never would I have expected to be where I am today.  Growing up in the suburbs of New York, this would be the least likely place for me to be.  

In five days, I will be moving into my dorm room in Norman, Okla.  Yes, I will be a freshman at The University of Oklahoma.  

I was the first person in the history of my high school to apply to, nonetheless attend, Oklahoma.  The decision came mainly when my family realized we would be moving to the Dallas-Fort Worth area after my high school graduation for my father's job.

The choice came down to three schools:  OU, Tennessee, and Texas.
