While the TCU Horned Frogs have played a lot of good out-of-conference games over the years, few of those have taken place at home.

It has been hard to get top teams to come and play at Fort Worth, with only Texas Tech, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, and Stanford having come to Fort Worth during Coach's Patterson's tenure.

Of those, only Texas Tech was ranked at the time of the game.

This year, TCU luckily reached an agreement to play at Clemson, supplementing the game at Virginia.
