UNLV Rebels Skin BYU Cougars in Nail-Biter, Will Take On Aztecs

In the entertainment capital of the world, the hottest ticket in town was for the UNLV-BYU semifinal matchup. It did not disappoint.

UNLV was led by the late-game heroics of Tre'Von Willis. With about 3:00 minutes left in the game Willis suffered an apparent ankle injury, and headed to the locker room. BYU had taken the lead and things looked bleak for the hometown club.

Taking a page from another Willis (Willis Reed), Tre' Von Willis came back into the game and led the Rebels to victory. In his first possession after returning from the locker room, Willis hit a difficult runner from the baseline. Willis then iced the game by hitting from the charity stripe. Willis finished with 18 points by going 5-9 from the floor.
