North Carolina basketball head coach Roy Williams' tumor on his left kidney was revealed to be benign according to a report from the Associated Press coming out of Chapel Hill.

According to Dr. Eric Wallen, Williams' tumor will not require surgery and he should be able to continue his normal day-to-day activities in time for the beginning of the preseason next week, although doctors will continue to monitor his recovery.
