The St. John's Red Storm are in need of a new head coach. Following a 17-16 season, a 6-12 record in the Big East, and a first round NIT exit, St. John's dismissed Norm Roberts who tallied a 64-85 record in six seasons at the helm.
The next head coach is a very important for the program. St. John's was once a flagship program of the Big East with its heyday in the mid-1980s, but the Red Storm have not reached the NCAA Tournament since 2002 with only two Sweet 16 appearances since 1991 to their credit.
