A December early signing period is still a possibility, but the NCAA's Division I Council rejected a proposal Wednesday that would create a June window. According to the Associated Press, the council rejected a plan that would have put a 72-hour period on the last Wednesday in June. The University of Oregon football program suspended strength and conditioning coach Irele Oderinde without pay for one month after three players were hospitalized while participating in offseason workouts, Jen Beyrle of The Oregonian reported on Tuesday. An arrest warrant for University of Oklahoma defensive back Parrish Cobb was issued Tuesday for an aggravated robbery charge, per Kristin Hoppa of the Waco Tribune-Herald.  Hoppa noted there is "a possible connection to a string of armed robberies in Waco and Bellmead within the last two weeks."
